ANNOUNCEMENTS - MONDAY, DECEMBER 5

  1. Ok Ok, we know you are getting a bit ansi about our next literacy strategy focus. This one is one of our favorites because we are focusing on imagining the text we read come to life, in our own minds of course. Visualizing the strategy is the bridge to reading comprehension. If we can imagine it or see it in our minds, we probably understand more about the text than we initially thought. Ask your teachers and your friends the following question, is the book better than the movie? We are curious to know what your answer is.

  2. A reminder that Broxton Park is once again supporting the Spruce Grove Kinette Hampers program. We will be collecting donations of new, unwrapped gifts or gift cards. You have until Thursday to bring in your donations.

  3. The French Immersion Student Council will meet in the learning commons at noon today.

  4. Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Basketball team for coming in third in the High Park pre-season tournament over the weekend. And a huge shout out to the Sr. Boys Basketball team for being tournament champs! What a great start to the season!

  5. Sr. Boys and Junior Boys Blue Basketball teams practice today after school.
