  1. The winners for the Kindness theme door decorating contest are: Mme Aliisa, Mme Mortensen and Mme Shelley. Thank you everyone for participating!

  2. Jr. High Choir practices today at lunch recess. Congratulations to Easton Kitura, Oli Wood, Wesley Jespersen and Connor Wolitski on your Fusion Hoopfest 3x3 Basketball Tournament win! The Sr. Girls Basketball team practices today after school. The Jr. Boys basketball team plays their first playoff game today after school against Copperhaven. Good luck, boys!

  3. Grade 4 to 9 students interested in joining the Student Library Club are to come to the library at 12:20.

In Honor of Black History Month, we recognize:

Rachael Smillie

Rachael Smillie was born and raised in Edmonton. She earned two degrees, a B.A. in Sociology and a degree in French as well as an after-degree in Elementary Education at Concordia University in Edmonton. While studying at Concordia, Rachael competed on the cross-country, indoor track and badminton teams. Throughout her five years of eligibility, Rachael attended six national championships and earned two CCAA bronze medals and a silver medal.  Rachael was named Concordia's Female Athlete of the Year and the 2015 ACAC Badminton Player of the Year. She also earned a CCAA All-Canadian award and numerous ACAC All-Conference awards. Rachael now coaches the Concordia badminton team and is one of Broxton's very own French Immersion teachers!
