ANNOUNCEMENTS - TUESDAY, APRIL 25
- Now that you are all becoming experts when it comes to inferring, riddle me this, how does it help you better understand what you are reading? To answer this question, it allows you to double check if your guess, which is based on facts of the text and your knowledge, is correct and makes sense. A few weeks ago, we used the example of Ana picking shells and swimming in cool, salty water. Our inference was that she was at the ocean. Could you imagine if we said that she was at the top of a mountain? What are the problems with this inference? Discuss those issues with your elbow buddies and explain how inferencing can help you better understand what you are reading.
