ANNOUNCEMENTS - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22

  1. From Earth Club: We will be watching a nature documentary about JUNGLES on Wednesday at 12:20 - 12:50 pm. Anyone interested can come and watch with us! :).

  2. Good luck to the Sr. Boys and Sr. Girls basketball teams in their games vs. Woodhaven today after school.
  3. Chess Club - First day for chess club today from 12:50 - 1:20 in the Learning Commons for Grades 2 to 9. Teachers are welcome!

  4. Girls Club will be meeting in the Learning Commons at 12:50 for those interested in Grades 4, 5, and 6. Please bring markers and arrive promptly!

  5. The early years committee will proudly show support in the initiative for anti-bullying by wearing a pink shirt tomorrow. By wearing a pink shirt we are taking a stand to break the cycle of bullying and foster healthy self-esteem. Will you please join us tomorrow in wearing a pink shirt!

  6. Two reminders from Mme iampen about SENIOR CHOIR: you have practice today at lunch recess.  AS WELL, Senior Choir Workshop is today after school until 5:00 p.m. including pizza dinner.  Bring a water bottle to the workshop!

  7. Grade 6 handbells after school today until 4 pm.

In Honour of Black History Month (We recognize the following…)

Marie Isidore

Marie Isidore is a French Immersion Teacher with Parkland School Division ( or Broxton Park School ). She holds a B.Ec from the University of Montreal along with an After Degree B.Ed. She is working toward her Master of Arts in Canadian Studies at the University of Alberta with a research focus on Franco-Caribbean tales. In 2019 she was the recipient of The Roger Smith Undergraduate Student Research Award Campus Saint-Jean and the Canadian Federation of University Women Edmonton Academic Awards for Superior Academic Achievement. Marie has volunteered at RECHED (Edmonton Haitian Network)   for the past 5 years and her contribution in developing materials has helped improve young students' interests in Math and Science. She is passionate about healthy living, learning new skills and working with local communities.
