Now that you are all masters of making predictions when reading, have you ever wondered how making connections with the stories you read is a powerful reading strategy to help you understand your reading? Making connections asks you to think about what you are reading and how it is linked or relates to something else. This connections helps you better understand the story by knowing a little bit more about it before you read the whole story. So next time, ask yourself, have I heard of a similar story before? If so which one?
